Principal - Laura Meyer: It is my honor to serve the growing Boiling Springs community as the principal at Shoally Creek Elementary and to be an active member of our first Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). As we begin just our second year as a new school family, it is exciting to build and strengthen our teacher-parent partnerships through this great organization. Even after 28 years as an educator, I still find great joy, purpose, and excitement in working with children, teachers, parents, and community members. My husband, Steve, and I have a 24 year-old son, Jordan, who lives and works in Texas. We have two rescue cats that rule our house, Torti and Keepurr. In my spare time, I enjoy reading,
running, traveling, and cheering on the Braves, the Panthers, and our own Boiling Springs
Bulldogs!

President - Brian Wofford: My wife and I have a son who is in 2nd grade at SCES. My wife stays home with our youngest son who is 2 years old. I currently teach 6th grade Science at WMS in Spartanburg County District 4. This is my 12th year teaching in District 4 and my 15th year teaching as a regular classroom teacher overall. I am looking forward to using my experiences as an educator to assist in the connection of parents and teachers in a positive way to benefit the children attending SCES.
Vice-President - Joanna Rising: I have 3 children, 2 of them attend SCES. I served on a PTA in the past at another elementary school prior to coming to SCES. I really enjoy volunteering and helping at the school. I am also on the School Improvement Council. I am looking forward to what the future will bring to our beautiful school and the wonderful staff here.
Secretary - Shontella Herndon: I have one child who attends SCES 4 year old AM program. I have 12 years experience as a former educator, and currently work as a program coordinator for the Department of Education/Baby Net. As a mother, I know the importance of parent involvement, and creating a community oriented school. I am excited about our new PTO and I would love to be a part of such a great organization.
Treasurer - Allison Hansen: I have a son who is now a first grader at Shoally Creek Elementary. We loved our first year at Shoally Creek! I served on the School Improvement Council last year and I really enjoyed volunteering and helping with projects and events at the school. I'm excited to be involved with the PTO so we can help to make SCE an even better school for our kids, their teachers and the parents.
